WHPacific is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with fifteen years or more of professional experience. The preferred candidate will thrive in our environment if they have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Candidate should want to
live and work in Portland area and have an interest in growing our Civil Land Development group. They should have a desire for professional growth working on projects large and small. Candidate should have an affinity for business development and client management.
The position requires an interest in working across disciplines with civil, landscape architects, structural and industrial engineers, airport and land use planners, biologists, archaeologists, and land surveyors.
This position presents opportunities to support projects in all areas of Civil Site design and development. These project can range from commercial, residential, industrial, education, parks, land use, transportation, utility infrastructure, stormwater management
and private development. These projects are throughout the west coast and mountain west regions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with engineers and project managers to produce designs and drawings per project requirements.
Lead design staff and other senior professionals as lead engineer on project tasks.
Responsible for providing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Reviews within the civil group.
Train and mentor young professionals

Oregon PE required; licenses in other states a plus
Minimum of 15 years engineering experience required, with a background in Site Design.
A minimum of 10 years of experience managing tasks, small projects and professional staff.
Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards and constraints.
Candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License; must be able to meet company insurability requirements.
